The American Diabetes Association
has teamed up with Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., to help adults with type 2 diabetes manage their disease and prevent its complications. Through the Association's collaboration with the Washington Redskins, Offensive Tackle Trent Williams has also joined the cause. After having lost his grandfather to complications of type 2 diabetes, Trent wanted to help make a difference. Together, we hope to raise awareness of living with type 2 diabetes and give you the tools you need to take control of you or your loved ones’ diabetes. |

 |  American’s Votes Are In!
During American Diabetes Month® last month, the Association asked the country to vote online each week for their favorite seasonal foods and flavors. The winning picks inspired a special collection of recipes—a menu for America’s healthy holiday meal. The special occasion meal was unveiled earlier this week in a cooking video, featuring award-winning cookbook author Robyn Webb, MS, LN, who is also the Food Editor of Diabetes Forecast, the Association’s healthy living magazine. These holiday classics include an herb-roasted turkey, holiday pumpkin pie with maple-ginger crust and more!
