It makes Trey beyond sad to know that Sofie got diabetes from him, but we're so grateful she is able to watch and learn from him. He shows her the right way to manage diabetes.
Sure, he has his bad days, too, but he knows her little eyes are watching him. One time on vacation, Sofie accidentally went in the ocean with her pump, and it stopped working! Trey gave Sofie his pump and supplies (his isn't pink, though!) to help deliver insulin for the rest of the trip.
