Thanks to American Diabetes Association Diabetes Advocates around the country, last year we celebrated 57 wins at the state level, helped obtain $108 million more dollars in federal funding for diabetes research and programs, and now have 30 states that meet our standards for keeping kids Safe at School®. However, our work is far from done. We need more victories in the fight against diabetes, which is why we need Diabetes Advocates now more than ever. This month, we're working together to ramp up recruitment to get our next set of advocacy wins for better care, fair treatment, and ultimately a cure. The more Diabetes Advocates we have in our network, the louder our voice and the more victories we can celebrate! Right now, I need your help. Will you join me and become a Diabetes Advocate?
