This is your chance to make a difference for all people with diabetes by helping effect change on a local, state and national level. Leg.SurveyInvite.pngThanks to your support, we’ve already accomplished a lot this year for people affected by diabetes and we’re looking to you for your input on how we can best move our mission forward through Advocacy in 2017.

We are so encouraged by the strides we’ve made in 2016.

We celebrated the announcement that Medicare will provide coverage of the National Diabetes Prevention Program to seniors at risk for type 2 diabetes, a critical advancement that will help the more than 50% of Medicare beneficiaries with prediabetes improve their health and reduce federal health care cost.

We continued to secure legislative wins on the state and local levels—making sure children with diabetes are Safe at School by passing laws in Idaho, Hawaii, Pennsylvania and Maryland; working with legislators across the country to increase access to health care, and supporting legislative efforts in underserved communities to increase access to healthy foods.

These are just a few of the ways that we are improving the lives of people living with diabetes through our advocacy efforts, and there is so much more work to do.

We are only asking for 10 minutes of your time to share your input on our 2017 Federal and State Legislative and Regulatory Priorities. Please provide your input by August 15th.
