Dear Andrea,

Today, people with diabetes are able to lead healthier, longer lives thanks to research and advancements in diabetes care. But there is so much more to learn about this complex disease, and we still have no cure. In the meantime, we must support high-quality therapies that are available and affordable for all people with diabetes.

As American Diabetes Month^® comes to a close, we want to hear your hopes for the future of diabetes. Here are three final ways to show your support this November:

Share your vision for the future on social media using #ThisIsDiabetes, and learn more about our research contributions over the years.
Sign our petition urging Congress to examine insulin prices and ensure that no one with diabetes is denied access to this lifesaving medication.
Make a personal donation to ensure that our critical work remains possible, and encourage your family and friends to do the same.

Over the past several decades, the American Diabetes Association^® has invested over $735 million in more than 4,500 research projects that will help break down barriers in diabetes management and lead to the discovery of a cure. We work diligently to end this disease by fueling a pipeline of the best and brightest diabetes researchers.

Like you, our researchers are some of our strongest diabetes advocates. And while November is coming to an end, we are not done fighting on behalf of the people we serve.

Thank you for sharing so many powerful stories throughout American Diabetes Month. You’ve helped us show the world what it really means to live with this disease—that it’s a daily balancing act, that so much goes into climbing those mountains, that there are countless ways to fill in the blank, that it affects everyone.
