Thank You & Happy New Year animation

I want to thank you again, Andrea. We’re so grateful for your steadfast support and your commitment to fighting diabetes.

From research labs to the halls of Congress to the offices of health care practitioners to the campfires of the diabetes summer camps across the country, your generous support has made an impact.

I’m truly proud of everything we’ve accomplished together. And I hope you are, too.

  • Helped people live longer, healthier lives through diabetes research developments. We’ve invested $735+ million to advance 4,500 research projects.
  • Provided expert legal and medical assistance to 11,000 people whose rights and health were threatened. We use education, negotiation, litigation and legislation to help ensure equal opportunity and full rights for all Americans with diabetes, whether they’re at school, at work or at play.
  • Slowed the spread of diabetes by providing people at risk with easy-to-understand health information to help take prevention steps and lifestyle changes.

But we can’t rest on our laurels—there’s still so much work to do.

Scientific breakthroughs are years in the making, legal battles continue, federal funding is not keeping pace with the spread of diabetes, and 8.1 million Americans have diabetes but don’t know it.

These are big challenges and together, we can tackle them.

Thank you again for being our partner in this life-changing work. I have a feeling 2017 is going to be incredibly productive.

Best wishes to you and yours for a happy, healthy new year.
