Friend, as 2017 winds to a close, we want you to know how much your support has made possible. Thanks to your generous commitment, we've been able to fight diabetes on multiple fronts.

ADVANCING RESEARCH: We were able to fund 253 brilliant researchers who are working towards new, better treatments and striving to solve diabetes' remaining mysteries, moving us ever closer to a cure. Your support has fueled ongoing efforts including efforts to harness stem cell technology with a goal of reversing diabetes; work to decode the role that the bacteria living in our intestines may play in the disease, and research to develop effortless treatment approaches like the smart insulin patch.

BRINGING THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY TOGETHER: Our annual Scientific Sessions in June brought more than 16,000 doctors, researchers, and care providers from 120 countries and all 50 states together. It is more than a scientific meeting, it is a unique chance to exchange knowledge and ideas, building on each other's expertise and advances, all with a single goal to treat and, one day soon, to rid the world of diabetes. Talk about productive synergy!

IMPROVING PRIMARY CARE: Most diabetes care is delivered by primary care providers. Thanks to your support, we are able to introduce these clinicians to the latest developments in diabetes management to help ensure they give their patients the best possible care. We provide medical professionals with the tools they need to tackle diabetes from our annual Standards of Care to continuing education opportunities, medical journals, webcasts, and more.

These are just a few highlights of the many ways your support has helped advance the fight against diabetes this year.

Thank you again, Friend. We are truly grateful to you for your support and all you do to help stop diabetes.
