Diabetes Supporters, Research is saving and improving the lives of people with diabetes. The United States has always been a leader in medical research, however, funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is at risk. That's why we need you and everyone who cares about people with diabetes to sign the diabetes research petition.

In just the past few years, federal research has led to the first hybrid "closed-loop" insulin pump, the first clinical trial of a precision medicine approach to diabetes treatment, a better understanding of the triggers of diabetes, and the discovery of subtypes of insulin-producing beta cells. Diabetes research funding must be increased, not slashed.
