Thanks to decades of research developments, we have 12 different classes of medications to treat type 2 diabetes!

But how can doctors tell which medication will work best for each individual?

With support from Association-funded grant, Dr. Simeon Taylor at the University of Maryland is exploring the way genetic differences affect people's responses to different diabetes drugs.

His findings could lead doctors to use a DNA test to prescribe the best medication from the get-go.

But these types of advancements are only possible with continued support from people like you.

Can you please donate to help fund more research projects like this one?

Any amount you give will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to campaign total of $300,000 by Amaranth Diabetes Foundation and every dollar will go to support RESEARCH.

"This approach will expand mechanistic understanding at the molecular, cellular, and pathophysiological levels, and enable translational research to improve our ability to treat and prevent this devastating disease." – Dr. Taylor

There are so many more discoveries and developments waiting to be made. Help us reach our goal of raising $300,000 for research.

Best,
