Four years later, Jim's A1C has dropped from 13.8 to 5.7, he's gone from stage 5 kidney failure to stage 2, and his blood pressure is back to normal!
"The education and support the ADA provides is the singular reason I am not living on dialysis and stuck in my home," says Jim, "For this, I am forever grateful."
Your support helps provide crucial resources like our Living With Type 2 program that help people like Jim learn to manage their diabetes successfully. Another resource is Diabetes Food Hub, a valuable resource for people with diabetes and for families who want to eat healthy, delicious meals. THANK YOU!
Thank you, again, for all you do to help people with diabetes live healthier, fuller lives.
P.S. This is not the end of Jim's story! We look forward to telling you how, after taking charge of his own health, Jim made another major change in his life, this time to help other people living with diabetes.
