Research is…Personal

Andrea,

Diabetes research is personal. When her daughter, Zofia, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 4, Dr. Sumita Pennathur wanted to do everything she could to help. With a grant from the American Diabetes Association, she's doing just that, and is now one of the country's premiere diabetes researchers.

Donate by September 30 to support lifesaving research like Dr. Pennathur's and your gift will be MATCHED, up to a campaign total of $50,000.

Dr. Pennathur is using her expertise in all things tiny to build a small, painless, disposable CGM patch that could replace the larger, expensive glucose monitors that are currently available. "It's never been done before, but by my calculations it can work," she says. This groundbreaking project has the potential to help Zofia and thousands of other kids just like her.

Your contribution will support researchers like Dr. Pennathur who are working tirelessly towards a future free of diabetes and all its burdens. The Kahlert Foundation will match your gift, dollar for dollar, up to a campaign total of $50,000. Please don't wait, the match deadline is September 30! Get your gift matched now.

Thank you for all you do to support diabetes research!
